Sean Joyce began his career as an apprentice with Doncaster Rovers, making his debut prior to turning professional in September 1986. In November 1986 he joined Exeter City on loan to gain additional experience and returned to Doncaster, going on to make 41 appearances and score twice.
He moved to Torquay United on a free transfer in August 1988, playing at Wembley Stadium in the Sherpa Van Trophy Final against Bolton Wanderers, and again at Wembley in the 1991 play-off final victory on penalties against Blackpool.
He remained with the Gulls after their relegation the following season before leaving league football, joining Elmore, having made 158 league appearances, scoring 15 goals, for the Gulls.
He later played for Taunton Town, but was released by Taunton in April 1998 and joined Bideford, then managed by former Torquay teammate Dean Edwards.
In November 1998 he stepped up from club captain when he was appointed player-manager, though a knee injury soon made his role that of only being the manager, and he guided Bideford away from the danger of relegation.
Sean has seen League action for various clubs, Sean stepped up from player to Manager, in very difficult times, but his skill and professionalism shone through and he has led the side from strength to strength, culminating in winning the league double in 2001/2 & 2003/4 and being voted League Premier Division Manager of the year.
In 2002/3 he lead his team to third place after a very successful F.A.Cup and F.A.Vase run.
In 2003/4 Sean made further inroads and the team were semi-finalist in the F.A.Vase just losing out to the eventual winners.
Sean once again won the Western League Premier title 2004/5 2005/6 making it four league titles out of five and once again become the manager of the year for 2005/6.

Kenny is another young signing having joined us from Taunton Town. Kenny is a goalkeeper who has played for Torquay United. He lives in Totness.

John is another fine young player that Sean has signed, he plays both as a defender & also can play in mid-field. John joined Bideford after playing for Truro last year and was part of the squad that won the F.A.Vase. John has made over 20 appearances for the club.

Ben joined us at the start of the 2008/2009 season after impressive performances in the Errea Challenge Cup impressed the fans and Manager. Notible for his bright yellow boots and great pace on the pitch.

Darren joined from Taunton Town, with whom he won the F.A Vase. He has also represented Devon. He is a big, strong central defender,controlls the back line and a winner through & through. Darren has played over 150 games. Darren is married to Kelly & has a daughter named "Taylor". He works for a company maintaining water services.

Nick, who hails from Torquay, is a promising young player, who is swift footed wing-back and is also capable of putting in a fine performance anywhere on the pitch. "bongo" has a terrific work-rate charging up and down the side of the pitch, with great accuracy on his shots and crosses, and not scared to step up to a set piece when it is needed. A great learner, who is getting better and better.

 Tom joined us from Taunton Town last year and settle in very well in the back line, a strong, solid and robust central defender, has plenty of skill and certainly one for the present and the future, Tom has also played as a striker being use to this roll for Team Bath.

Ian is a former Torquay United midfield player,who rejoined us this season from Liskard Athlectic.
Ian was part of the team that won the F.A.Vase when playing for Taunton Town, he has played over 250 games for Bideford and has been their captain.
Ian is married to Claire they have three children Holly, Jamie and Toby. Ian works installing double glazing in Torquay were he lives.

Has been a good captain for the side in the 2008/2009 season.
