Densham Re-Signs For Bideford PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 08 August 2008
Jamie Densham today signed for Bideford AFC after leaving Tiverton Town dramatically last week. This new signing comes as an unexpected boost to the team for the 2008/2009 season. Work commitments meant that the extra travelling needed in the Southern Premier League became near impossible for Jamie, this made him restless, so he decided to quit Tiverton Town before the new season started.

ImageJamie played 25 games for the Robins last season, scoring 24 goals in the process. He first joined Bideford from Budleigh Salterton in January 2008. He returns to his striker role after leaving at the end of last season to play for Tiverton Town, who he played for previously as a youngster. He managed to score twice for Tiverton in their pre-season friendlies.

The 25 year old realased that the Bideford team has alot of potential, and he was a little hasty to leave at the end of last season. He joins strike partners Rob Gough and new signing Shaun Lewis up front, in what will be an explosive season.

Manager Sean Joyce commented on the transfer,

"I'm absolutely over the moon, Jamie is a great lad, a great worker on the pitch. He knows what bidefords all about, he know what i`m all about, and I couldn't be happier that he has decided to come back. Its a great signing for the club and the fans, he's already proved himself last season, and I know that he will perform and score the goals. I was disappointed that he decided to leave us last season after being with us for only 4 months, but right now I couldn't be happier."

Densham is set to start the game away against Radstock Town tomorrow at 3pm.

Its great to have you back, keep banging in those goals!
