Thursday, 07 August 2008
Just two days to go untill Bideford AFC attempt to make their mark in the Toolstation League this year. With a strong team and alot of confidence, Bideford AFC are hoping to go all the way and lift the trophy at the end of the season. A lot of great new signings for the club and very promising pre-season friendly results will make this coming season one of the most exciting in years.

Last year Truro Town lifted the trophy and left Bideford AFC in its wake, finishing in 6th position overall, but this season Bideford are really gunning for it and are afraid of no-one. They have proved in the Errea Cup and subsequent friendlies that they are going to play hard this season and score alot of goals from all over the pitch.

Shaun Lewis adds to the already strong strike force this season, a top scorer for Ilfracombe Town last year will no doubt cause any oposition alot of headaches. Ben Woods (pictured), already has shown form, scoring 2 in 3 games from his left back position, also a free kick specialist. The reliable Nick Barker, scoring against Crystal Palace and two against Launceston, this will be a great season for him. And also possibly a mystery figure, check out the website tommorow at 6pm for an exclusive news story which will surely put a big grin on all your faces.

Other new signings this season include:

Rob Francis returning from Falmouth

Ryan Moon from Woolsery

Dominic Rivans

Sam Churchill.
